Terms of service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms set out the agreement between your organisation and Ticora: what you can expect from the service, and what we ask of you in return.
These terms
These terms govern your use of Ticora. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
Your account
An organisation owner can manage the team, checklists, jobs and reports, and can see the records created by workers in that workspace.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details private and do not share an account.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
Worker accounts
Owners add workers by name, and Ticora creates a unique username and activation code for each person. Workers must change their password on first sign-in and keep it to themselves. Workers stay listed in a workspace so past jobs keep their record, even after they stop working there.
Free trial
New organisations receive the free trial shown at sign-up. One trial is allowed per organisation. We may end a trial early if these terms are broken.
Plans, fees and renewal
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling before you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
- VAT and other taxes are charged where they apply.
- Changing plan takes effect at your next billing date unless we say otherwise.
- If a payment fails we may pause the workspace until it is settled.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. After that we keep the workspace available to export for a short period, then delete it as described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Ticora for anything unlawful, or to access a workspace or record you are not allowed to see.
- Do not interfere with the service, overload it, or attempt to work around its security.
- Do not upload malware or content you do not have the right to share.
- Do not photograph people on site where they would not expect it, or where it is not needed for the job.
- Do not copy, resell or rebuild the service, or use another organisation's data.
Your content
You own the records, photos, notes and reports in your workspace. You give us permission to store, process and transmit that content so we can run the service for you. You confirm you have the rights and consents needed to upload it.
Our content
The software, the design of the service and the Ticora name and mark remain ours. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.
Availability
We work to keep Ticora available and to give notice of planned maintenance. Unless we agree a service level with you in writing, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Our responsibility to you
- We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost business.
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
- Reports and records are a record of what your team submitted; decisions your organisation makes from them remain yours.
If these terms are broken
We may suspend or end access to a workspace if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your records.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be explained in the app or by email before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
